This Homemade Egg Muffin may actually be better than the real McDonalds version.

What’s better, it’s only 33p

Great if you’re on a budget or want an egg muffin after 10.30am

Ingredients:

  • -eggs (6 value eggs - 88p)
  • -muffins (Sainsbury’s basics 6pk muffins - 59p)
  • -cheese slices (value 10 pk -  50p )

6 Egg Muffins £1.97 - 33p each

Notes:

You can upgrade to free range eggs for and extra 56p a box, making a free range egg muffin 42p each.

Method:
  1. Slice the muffin in half and toast.
  2. Add the cheese slice to the muffin to melt.
  3. Pouch (using a muffin sized pouching tray) or fry (using a muffin sized egg shaper) the egg. To reduce messiness, cook the yolk so it’s sold - semi solid.
  4. Place the egg in the muffin and serve immediently.
